Veteran Mark Jablonka
Air Force Security Force
Former Staff Sergeant, Mark Jablonka, a disabled Veteran who served in the Air Force Security Forces from 1973 to 1990, says he was fortunate to hear about the Smiles for Veterans Program. Mark says he can now freely smile at people that he would not have before. Mark says, “This program helped me regain my dignity.” Now, he and his employer reap the many benefits that a smile brings. Mark works as a mentor for Rally Point, a Tucson, AZ-based organization wherein Veterans help Veterans through trying times.
Veteran Denise Bell
Army SPC Specialist
Stationed overseas for 6 years took a toll on Denise’s smile as dental care was not readily available. After returning to the United States, she did not qualify for care through the Veterans Administration or any other programs. Her teeth deteriorated further becoming painful with hot and cold. Smiles for Veterans was able to help restore her smile along with her self confidence and dignity. She no longer puts her hand over her mouth when talking and is free to laugh and play with her grandson. Her kids were excited to see her smile after so many years. Her daughter said “You look beautiful, Mom!” Her son said “Nothing is stopping you now!”
